Hear the Turtle Toastmasters Club
Hear the Turtle Toastmasters Club 791457 started in February 2005 and was chartered in May 2005. We are within Area 43, District 36 and Division D.  We practice by doing.  Why pay thousands of dollars for one seminar or pay a consultant at an hourly rate when you can join a Toastmasters club for a fraction of the cost and have fun in the process?

Typically we will meet in The Language House Lounge in St. Mary's Hall at 12:15 on the 1st Wednesday and 5th Wednesdays of each month and at 5:15 pm on the 3rd Wednesdays of each month. Our calendar has the most up to date information on meetings.
Toastmasters will give you the speaking and leadership skills you need to effectively express yourself in ANY situation. Whether you are an undergraduate student or a graduate student just entering the job interview process or a staff or faculty member needing to improve your presentation skills, Toastmasters is the most efficient, enjoyable and affordable way of gaining great communication and leadership skills. By learning to effectively formulate and express your ideas, you open an entirely new world of possibilities. You’ll be more persuasive and confident when giving presentations, and you’ll improve your one-on-one dealings with others.

Don’t worry! Everyone in a Toastmasters club was once at the level you are now. The environment is friendly and supportive, and the self-paced program allows you to build confidence with each speaking opportunity. And you’ll love the applause! Constructive peer evaluation is the "gold nugget" of each meeting. Each time you give a prepared speech, an evaluator will point out strengths and suggest improvements. We are here together to learn from our mistakes and can grow as we keep practicing.

Give it a try. Toastmasters currently has more than 200,000 members in 80 countries. Our club is just one of the more than 10,000 clubs located around the world. For membership meeting information, please see our membership information page.
